Happy New Year in 2021!

Happy MONDAY! TGIM!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “The glory of God is man fully alive.” ~ Saint Irenaeus

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:  Welcome to the year 2021 and the first Matt’s Motivational Monday post of the year!

This quote is one of my favorites and it rose to the surface as I was thinking about it this morning.   To sum up a book I highly recommend – Wild At Heart by John Eldridge, do what makes you come alive, because this world needs more of those type of people.

This world needs your dream.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” – Harriet Tubman

Now is the time for it. Your circumstances will never be perfect.   If there is something you want to do, go do it. You never know when your last moment on this earth will be. The thing does not need to be perfect for you to try it. Try it and make a mistake. You will probably learn more from trying and making a mistake than from doing nothing.

Rise up and take advantage of the new year’s energy. There are lots of things to do. Lots of programs out there to encourage you to do this or that.   Personally, I am doing a just run challenge inspired by Rogue Running. The challenge is simple:

Run or walk 1 mile a day for every day in January.

One of my friends also posted this:

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world.   You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.   So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself.   Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before.   Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it. Make your mistakes, next year. Don’t QUIT .” ~ Neil Gaiman

Happy New Year!   And oh if you have not heard my new rap song check it out here:
